Aqua Rain Water Purifier

How The AquaRain System Works...

The AquaRain system filters water in a very natural way using gravity to gently draw water down through our "cultured" ceramic stone in much the same manner as nature processes ground water through the earth. The microfine pore structure of our ceramic media will remove dangerous organisms such as protozoan cysts (Cryptosporidium, Giardia lamblia) and microscopic bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella typhimurium, etc...). Enclosed within the hard ceramic shell we have incorporated a concentrated bed of Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC) that contains a self-sterilizing metallic silver. The high performance silvered GAC bed will adsorb various organic chemicals such as MTBE and pesticides, remove chlorine compounds including carcinogenic halogens, and improve the taste and odor of the water. To the benefit of good health, our system will also leave unchanged the naturally occurring electrolytes and minerals found in your water.

How Ceramics Work...

Ceramic water filters work in three ways. First, surface sieving, much like a screen door, does not allow larger particles to pass through the outer surface of the filter. Second, ceramic filters operate as a depth media, providing a twisting, tortuous path like a maze, trapping contaminants within the walls (usually in the top .005" below the surface). Third, surface charge or adhesion, whereby contaminants that are small enough to penetrate the walls of the ceramic may cling to the walls like opposite polarity magnets attract each other. This surface charge is often greater than the force of the water flow that might otherwise dislodge the contaminant. This is particularly true with gravity or siphon-fed ceramic applications.

Wall thickness is particularly important with regard to a ceramic's performance as a depth media. The maze-like, tortuous path allows for filtration performance at an effective pore size that is much less than the actual median pore diameter of the diatomes from which the filter is made. As clogged filters are cleaned to restore flow, contaminants in the top .005" of surface material are removed. Gentle abrasive cleaning will gradually reduce wall thickness, making a reliable end-of-life indicator or gauge absolutely essential for easy determination of expended ceramics.

Laboratory Testing

Extensive independent testing is the key to proving the performance of any water filter product. The ceramic filter elements used in the AquaRain Gravity Water Filter have been thoroughly tested by government agencies and independent laboratories. Our unique ceramic structure has been successfully tested in independent laboratories with Cryptosporidium parvum for cyst removal, and the EPA mandated Klebsiella terrigena for bacterial removal. These elements have also been successfully tested against the Health Industry Manufacturing Association's test organism, Brevundimonas diminuta, which is approximately one-third the size of the EPA bacteria test organism. It is notable that all of these tests were performed at 60-90 p.s.i. which is far above the very low p.s.i. found in our gravity operated system. This equates to an expected performance in microorganism removal far beyond the results already achieved in our laboratory testing.

What is particularly noteworthy is that all of the above laboratory tests have been performed with fully expended elements, ready for disposal. All components for testing were abraded to 10% below their end-of-life tolerance and then exposed to contaminated field water prior to being challenged in laboratory testing. In every case, AquaRain Ceramic Elements surpassed the stringent EPA standards for a bacteria and cyst purifier.

We have gone the extra mile to insure that our product will perform as promised and remain effective in producing safe drinking water throughout its entire life. To the best of our knowledge, no other manufacturer has dared to test in this way and publish the results of this type of end-of-life testing. ORGANISM EPA STANDARD NEW CARTRIDGE E.O.L. Testimonials

"Although we have a well, the health department advised us to not drink the water. When we first heard of the AquaRain Water Filter System we were skeptical but bought the unit anyway. You people were very helpful and the product arrived in a very timely manner. (Of course we never told you that we were going to give the unit 'the acid' test!) Needless to say, we were ecstatic when the water test came back with a green light for drinking water from our very own well! Thank you, AquaRain. Please send us four more filters...we are believers!" WG from Lenexa, Kansas

"Just had to tell you people how much we appreciate you. The filters I ordered for our AquaRain came so quickly. Thank you so much. My neighbor is convinced that her health has improved since she is now drinking water from her AquaRain. We all love our water!" MW from Windom, Texas

"The water from my AquaRain tastes just like the sweet, spring water I used to drink when I was a kid. I love it...thanks again." CG from Bakersfield, California

"I saw, and used, your product when I was visiting a friend who lives in Sangolqui, Ecuador. He is an American physician who runs a small clinic there. He had nothing but great things to say about his AquaRain filter. I didn't think I would need one here in the states, but the drinking water here in San Diego isn't very tasty, to say the least. I look forward to getting my AquaRain filter and enjoying a safe supply of water, no matter where I live." DC from San Diego, California

"I purchased an AquaRain Model 400 Water Filter as a Y2K investment seeing as the Lord caused me to move to a lakefront lot 4 years ago. I thought this would not only afford us food to eat (fish) but with this filter also drinkable water. Further, the manufactured housing community in which I live affords us water that is horrendous to the taste, sight and smell. As soon as the AquaRain arrived, I began using it to filter the house water. The taste is delicious. Thus far, four friends have expressed interest in having one for themselves, one having already purchased it.

The question arose, how could I be absolutely sure the water was safe to drink if I took it from the lake? So I decided to put it to the test. I took several samples to Turner Technologies of Warsaw, Indiana. .....time and again the tests came back that the AquaRain did its job. I thought you would like to know. I am also sending a copy of the results to ....... My grateful appreciation to you for providing a tremendous product that really works." RH from Warsaw, Indiana.

"Thank you for the AquaRain water filter. It is very nice. I put it together last night and this morning we had water! We are always amazed at the ways that the Lord meets our needs--even through people we don't know and have never even met. Our prayer is that God will richly bless you for your generosity toward us." M & P from Baratillo, Mexico.

"We are enjoying our AquaRain. The water tastes so good! It sure beats the Pur faucet water filter we had. Thanks again for a great product. We are recommending it to friends and family. Hope you'll get some more sales." JW

"I'm writing to let you know how thrilled we are with our new Aqua Rain gravity fed water filter. We recently had a hand pump installed on one of our two wells and decided to have a water test just to make sure the water from that well was suitable for drinking. The person who built the house and owned the property originally told us they used this well the entire time they lived here and it was good for drinking. They sold the property and the new owner had another, larger, well installed and the original well was not used for several years until we bought the property and had the hand pump installed on it. This is the reason we decided to have a test on it to make sure it was still drinkable.

Imagine our surprise and dismay when the test came back negative, saying the water had coliform (bacteria) and was unsuitable for drinking. I mentioned this to a friend and she told me about the AquaRain water filter, which we subsequently purchased. I am enclosing the two tests we had done after receiving the Aqua Rain; one with water taken directly from the well without being run through the filter, which indicates a very high coliform count, and the other with water from the well run through the AquaRain water filter, which came back absolutely clear of any coliform bacteria. We were so thrilled. Not only did it filter out all the bacteria, but it also tastes wonderful. Thank you for your fine product." PG from Churubusco, Indiana
