Kids Talk - Writing Ideas
Daily writing is very important to developing those English skills, but it's easy to get stumped trying to think up a topic. Kid Talk solves that problem! Interesting, easy-to-write-about topics are featured in this unique card deck. On each card, a fact or idea is summarized in a few sentences. Then a question is posed that inspires some great writing responses. For example, from one card: "When we go to sleep, our minds create dreams. Each dream lasts about one half hour and we have about four dreams each night." Now the question is asked to stimulate writing: "If you could pick something to dream about, what would it be? What is the best dream that you can remember?". Asking those questions can be the flicker of inspiration that can develop into a meaningful piece of writing.
