General Science is for the Jr. High years and introduces the scientific method, experiments, simple machines, archaeology, geology, paleontology, biology, human anatomy and physiology. Lab experiments use just household items.
Physical Science covers weather, the atmosphere, structure of the earth, motion, Newton's laws, gravity, and physics. Explores myths created by environmentalists (which I find necessary and much appreciated!). Hands-on experiments use household supplies.
Biology is a college prep course emphasizing the vocabulary of biology, five-kingdom classification, scientific method, genetics, evolution, dissection, ecosystems, and more; taught from a creation viewpoint noting the majesty of God's incredible design! Chemistry explores the wonderful world of the periodic table, elements, compounds, reactions, solutions, acids and bases, and more. In order to understand this course, you will need to have completed Algebra 1. You will benefit by having the Glassware Kit which includes beakers, test tubes, alcohol burner, cylinders, mass scale, thermometer, and more, which make doing the experiments easier and more accurate. All of the chemicals used in this course are household materials that are readily available (salt, soda, dish soap, vinegar, etc.).
Human Body covers the entire advanced placement (AP) curriculum, covering both the anatomy and the physiology of the human body's 11 organ systems in details. Includes details on the reproductive system with clear illustrations and descriptions. Companion CD available.
Each course has 12-16 modules, which can be paced for 2 weeks each, for a complete school year's study.
