This first sewing book gently leads children step-by-step into a first sewing project by creating a hand-sewn stuffed bird from felt. Rhyming instructions are easy enough for very young children to understand and follow. Once that special bird is completed, you can go on to sew a whole zoo of animals and shapes (43 patterns included). Emily, at 5 years, was so excited to actually be able to sew something fun! She soon mastered it and made herself a little heart pincushion and a kitten too. Kit comes with 40- page book, two pre-cut felt bird shapes, sewing floss, and patterns. Ages 4-8 years.
