Treasures of the Snow
Ooh! Here is a treasure of a book! This poignant, exciting story takes place in the Swiss Alps where a beloved young boy is made lame by the village bully, leading to remorse and eventually restitution as this wrong is eventually righted. My older children and I all read and loved it (ages 10-adult). The action is so suspenseful that it is hard to put down this long and wonderful book. Although the story is one of adventure, the underlying message is how to forgive and repent, and it touches everyone’s heart. As Nathan (at 17) said, “It made me really want to be good.” I could see this heart-warming book’s effects through the actions of my children. In fact, it really made me want to be good too! One of the best books I’ve read. Paperback, 255 pages with photograph illustrations. |
