Sprout Master: Single Sprouter

I wish you could see my kitchen. I bought every sprouter on the market and took it for a "test drive". I feel like Goldilocks: most were too small, some were too tippy, some did not drain well, but this one . . . well, it's just right! Why do I like it? You can sprout a full tray in a minimum of counter space. All you have to do is run it under the faucet to rinse 2 x day. Let drain and set back on its tray. Easy as can be! Sprouts grow straight up, and never sour due to this sprouter's wonderful drainage system. The sprouter is a big 8 x 10" and even has a divider: you can grow 2 different batches at the same time so you'll never run out! Once your sprouts are grown, it fits compactly in the fridge where sprouts will stay fresh and crisp for up to a week. Sprouter comes with lid, sprouting tray, and drip tray.

Life-giving sprouts contain live enzymes necessary for the digestive process. Sprouts are one of the highest sources of fiber, and contain the highest and purest forms of vitamins, proteins, trace minerals and nutrients necessary for a long healthy life. Best of all, they are great on sandwiches, in salads, and anywhere you'd use lettuce. Give your kids sprouts and they won't need vitamins!

Sprouts--How to Grow

Soak your sprouting seeds in a glass or jar of water for about 8 hours, or overnight. The soaking liquid is nutrient-rich and can be added to soup or used to water plants.

If using sprouting trays: after soaking, pour out the swelled seeds into the plastic sprouting tray. Stack trays and place drip tray under the bottom sprouter to catch drips. Cover sprouter with lid and place on kitchen counter out of direct sunlight. Rinse seeds by putting under a faucet of gently running water 2 or 3 times per day. Drain and replace lid and drip tray. It will take 3-7 days for sprouts to mature, depending on the seed variety and temperature. As seeds sprout, taste test to determine the stage that you like them. You may use them while in the growth stages or grow to maturity and store in the refrigerator in a plastic bag or in the sprouter trays. To store sprouts in the sprouter trays, rinse and drain dry. Then set them on the drip tray in the refrigerator with the lid on top. Generally, sprouts can be stored in a refrigerator for 1-2 weeks with frequent water rinses.
