Traditional red wheat is perfect for long-term storage and has been packed in an oxygen-removed sturdy bucket, 45 lbs. of it. Will last in storage for 30+ years, so you'll never go hungry. I am baking bread from my storage wheat that is quite old, and the wheat is still fresh and makes fabulous bread!
The protein content is the highest of all wheat, about 13-17%. Wheat kernels last wonderfully well, but once ground, the nutritious oils in whole wheat are quickly oxidized by air, so store whatever flour you don't use immediately in an air-tight container in the freezer. The kernels can be used for sprouting (wheat grass), for cracked wheat for a hot cereal or for breads and pastas. Biologically grown, non-GMO.
