Hello,
Before the flu visits you, stock up on natural remedies to beat the bug! It is so wonderful to have something you can do to prevent or lessen the flu, if it strikes your family.
Anti-Plague is the formula for fighting viral infections! Well-respected herbalist, the late Dr. John Christopher, said this was the concoction that would stave off the coming health plagues of the end times, hence the name "Anti-Plague". I remember reading in Dr. Christopher's book the account of a nurse treating a patient in the hospital in Arizona who was diagnosed with an modern day case of Bubonic Plague (Black Death). Nothing the doctors were doing was working very well, when she decided to try some of Christopher's Anti-Plague. Amazingly, the man responded quickly and got well. David Christphoper recently remarked on his radio show that this was the one and only thing that would work against this season's Bird Flu. Try it—you'll be surprised how well it works!
What else can we do?! One doctor suggests taking one Echinacea capsule every morning during the flu season to gear up your immune system. I also give my family a Cod Liver Oil capsule each morning, as the natutral Vitamin A in it is so essential to respiratory health and immunity (as well as building strong teeth). Going to bed on time and not eating junk food also add to your body's ability to ward off an invading virus. Other tips that help prevent spreading the flu are to wash your hands frequently, and to teach your family to cough into their shirt, rather than out into the air (just tuck your mouth inside the neck edge of your clothing to sneeze or cough—works like a mask to prevent spreading the virus).
Healing Chicken Soup can't hurt either. Make my recipe for dinner tonight!
Read this news article to see what the government suggests for weathering what they expect to be a flu pandemic.
Make your own reusable, non-ice "cold pack". This feels so soothing on a feverish brow.
I've collected some of my favorite natural health books to share with you at great savings. Don't miss this opportunity to build your family's library at far less than the cost of a doctor's office visit. Knowledge is invaluable when it comes to caring for your family's health needs!
Sale ends January 18! Please order by Jan 18th for this one-time "natural remedy order". Your shipment will be mailed the following week.
Here's to your health!

view | Anti-Plg I have my own personal experience to convince me of the worth of this powerful herbal remedy in treating colds and flu. I keep a gallon in my pantry as "medical insurance"! Nasty to the taste, but, oh, so effective! Try taking a teaspoonful when you have the slightest touch of "something". If you get the flu or a cold, a teaspoon 3 or 4 times a day works wonders. For a baby, give a dropperful. For a child, put it in a big spoonful of grape juice to mask the taste. My own method is glugging water, then quickly swallowing a spoonful, and then glugging more water.
This is freshly made and will store for quite a long time (some say 15 years). Store in a cool, dark place for longest life. Ingredients: fresh garlic, apple cider vinegar, pure vegetable glycerin, honey, garlic juice, wormwood, lobelia, marshmallow root, oak bark, black walnut bark, mullein leaf, scullcap, uva-ursi.
8 ounce size comes in amber glass bottle. Quart size comes in a white plastic, lightproof, earthquake-safe bottle.

view | Echinacea: My Favorite Herb! No family ought to be without this most useful herb. It increases white blood cell activity, increaes antibody production and prevents the spread of infection. Echinacea is an essential herbal immune system booster and my first choice when dealing with viral or bacterial infections, fevers, inflammation. Give it regularly as a preventive measure to strengthen the immune system for those who seem to catch everything that is going around: use it for 10 days on, then take a break of 4 days off, then 10 days on, etc.). During acute illness, 1 capsule or liquid dose per meal and before bed is a good dosage. Amber glass bottle holds 100 capsules of Echinacea Angustifolia root, the species that has been the subject of research studies proving the effectiveness of this wonderful herb.

view | Echinacea Immune Formula This concentrated liquid herbal immune formula designed to build up the body's resistance to illness. This formula is made with echinacea, Oregon grape, black walnut, thyme, lemon balm and a powerful blend of essential oils in a sweet tasting (but unsweetened) glycerine base. Keep this one on hand for children and babies, as well as adults. The liquid formula is much easier to absorb and the body can use it more quickly.

view | The Very Best Vitamin C Famous for its role in fighting infection, Vitamin C is essential during an illness. It is very essential to have the entire C complex, not just ascorbic acid. I have chosen this brand because it contains the highest bioflavinoid content on the market, and the source is from fresh lemons, oranges, tangerines, etc. Each capsule contains 1000 mg Vitamin C, 650 mg Citrus Bioflavinoids, and 50 mg Rutin. Your need for Vitamin C increases dramatically when illness strikes. During sickness, take to 1 tablets 3 times a day (or more). You'll know when your body has had enough: the symptom is diarhhea. Just back off a few doses, to maintain optimum levels during illness. When you are well again, your need will go down dramatically.

view | First Herbs This is what I reach for first, when I feel the slightest "funny feeling". It is truly the "first herbs" I take. If taken at the first sign of an illness, this alone can often knock it out! I only use a one-time dose of 1/2 to 1 teaspoon orally, but often that is all it takes to alert the immune system to successfully overcome a brewing illness. A concentrated liquid herbal extract of capsicum, lobelia, prickly ash, blue vervain and black cohosh in a glycerine base. 8 oz. amber bottle.

view | Astragalus If you have a family member who seems to catch everything going round, try Astragalus. This Chinese root is proven to be effective in strengthening immunity, and it has worked very well for my family in warding off illness. Reserach shows that it is useful in helping cancer patient's immune systems to regulate and return to normal. Pieces of root can be added to soup as they do in China, or you can go the easy way and take capsules. 100 caps.

view | Cod Liver Oil Grandma knew what was best, only we are lucky enough not to have to taste it nowdays! Cod Liver Oil is an excellent source of vital fat soluble vitamins so deficient today in the American diet, and not available from plant sources. You'll see increased respiratory health and resistance to respiratory infections when you take Cod Liver Oil! It is also excellent for dental health. Dosage: 1 morning and night for adults, just 1 per day for children. Softgels, 250 count.

This concentrated liquid herbal extract in a glycerine base contains my favorite expectorant herbs: wild cherry, white pine, elder berries, spikenard, elecampane, licorice and cinnamon. Unsweetened, yet good tasting. 8 oz. amber bottle.

view | Eat Healthy, Feel Great 23% OffI've yakked pretty non-stop over the years to my kids about eating healthy foods, but something in this colorful picture book really spoke the message loud and clear to my daughter Louisa (9). After I read it to her, she took it into her bedroom, re-read it and made herself a chart of "Green Light" foods! Dr. William Sears has created a wonderful picture book for parents who are trying to teach their children healthy eating habits by categorizing foods into a simple system of red light (stop!), yellow light (sometimes) and green light (go!) foods. Cute illustrations of a happy family accompany the convincing words. A winner! Hardbound, 32 pages, ages 3 to 10 years.

Hi!
I am Diane Hopkins, mother of 7 children (ages 12 to 32) whom I have had the privilege of homeschooling over the past 18 years. I'm a mom, just like you, and have those fabulous days and those not-so-good days like we all do. My hope in writing is to share experiences, and hopefully we can encourage one another in this wonderful, intense adventure of childraising--that is really what homeschooling is, after all.
Hoping to help, if I can!
Love, Diane
