Favorite Fiddlin' Music  10% Off

What kind of music do you turn on when you want some lively, fun entertainment to dance to, do chores by, drive along to, or just give you a pick-up and make you feel happy? Let me introduce you to my family's favorite: folk fiddlin' music! These wholesome, hoppin' CDs will make everyone smile! These are traditional jigs, reels, and country fiddle songs with a long history reaching back through pioneer times, early America's roots, and even into the Old World. No lyrics, just fun and energizing tunes played by smokingly fast fiddle, banjo, bass, guitar and mandolin, and other traditional instruments such as the bones. I dare you not to dance!

You'll want them all! Each is unique as good as the other. Buy them together and save!

Band in a Box

Very economical and high quality—that's what I have to say about these fabulous rhythm instrument kits! When our boys were little, their favorite part of music time was using the rhythm instruments to play along with the songs we sang. These child-proof instruments are sturdy enough for toddlers but with a sound quality pleasing enough for everyone to enjoy playing. This is an educational investment that will last for years and years of use! Quality-made instruments neatly store in wooden case. Compare at $35. Set includes tambourine, set of maracas, tone block with mallet, handle castanet, cymbals, and triangle.

Recorders

The recorder is a great beginning instrument! (The only problem we encounter is that it is hard to blow while you are hysterically laughing, which is what happens when my kids and I all get together to play.) The recorder makes a good place to start with music instruction because it is easy-to-play, inexpensive, easy-to-tote, and sounds great.

Musical Notebooks

Teaching facts to the rhythm of music really makes them stick. I even find myself singing the "Prime Numbers" song to my teenagers when they ask me a related math question. The "Months of the Year" song is also a regular in our homeschool. At age 3, Emily could sing "Bones" by heart and it is still a favorite. Catchy, quality songs teach geography, math, science, months, days of the week, classic poetry, and more. Book contains illustrations, lyrics to the songs, activities, and suggestions for teaching units on each theme song. Plastic coated wipe-off pages allow children to write in names of planets on the illustrated "planet" page, "bones" chart, and more. Created by a homeschooling family. Spiral bound 48-page book comes with CD.

Classical Piano with Mark Hopkins

Enjoy the enthusiastic, moving piano masterpieces of the great composers Chopin, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Brahms, Joplin, and more played by my own son Mark Hopkins. At age 14, Mark listened to his cousin play the piano and was struck with ambition to become a concert pianist! As many homeschooled children are, he was totally self-motivated and driven to accomplish his dream. Mark loves classical piano and has performed his personal favorites, some of the most beautiful and touching pieces ever written. Mark tells his own journey of learning how to play, having amazing opportunities come his way, and his quest for how to consecrate his musical talent to God's glory in the accompanying leaflet. This 7-track CD is full of excitement and emotion, and is sure to motivate those who are wondering if their piano practice will ever pay off. I may be biased since he is my son, but I trust you will love it!
