First Language Lessons for the Well-Trained Mind, Level 1
If you absolutely don't know how to teach English, this oral program is for you! Each lesson is scripted, meaning you are told what to say and do, and also told how the student should respond to your questions. Very simple! One hundred lessons, a full school year worth, are included. Your student will learn parts of speech, capitalization and punctuation, types of sentences, days of the week, months of the year, abbreviations and more. A complete grammar text for the youngest student, First Language Lessons uses cute stories such as "The Boy Who Cried Wolf ", copywork, narration, picture study, poem memorization such as "Mr. Nobody at our House" and "The Caterpillar", plus other classical techniques to develop the student's language ability. Level 1 is a 1st grade level.
