A favorite with homeschool families! I love this fun introduction to American History for young ones. It takes so little preparation on my part and the kids thoroughly enjoy the lessons.
I Love America contains theme lessons: Columbus and the Discovery of America, Why I Like Being an American, Washington and Valley Forge, Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Pocahontas, etc., complete with illustrated stories, art activities, songs, poems, and more. We especially enjoyed learning the Preamble to the Constitution in sign language. Comes with 2 CDs: Activity CD has games, activities, and sheet music of songs which are on the Music CD. Music CD has songs that correspond to I Love America, plus I Love America, Volume 2. 200 pages, spiral-bound, for ages 4 to 10 years.
"Love this curriculum ! My 4 and 6-year-old are singing and dancing to "The Nina, the Pinta, the Santa Maria"!!! So funny !" --Crystal T.
Excellent for multiple ages! Great variety of activitiesMy kindergartner and I have REALLY enjoyed using "I Love America, Part 1" this past year! It's a beautifully designed course with lots of hands-on activities, songs, and stories. We supplemented each month's unit study with trips to the library, which was perfect. Love the CD--my 3 & 5 yr olds now know the Star Spangled Banner and the Preamble to the Constitution. Very impressed with this course and I tell people about it all the time!Written by Beth on Wed 23 Apr 2014 1:05:27 AM GMT
