One of our favorite ways to start our school day was my pledging allegience to the flag, and then checking the weather!  Saying the day name (Monday, Tuesday, etc) together and the date (the 4th, the 5th, etc.) is a good way to familarize young ones with the days of the week and the concept of dates. Checking and charting the weather is the most fun!  Might even have to go run around the house once just to be sure you identified the weather (foggy, windy, hot, rainy, etc.) correctly...; 0 )  This pocket chart only follows one school week at a time, which is quite enough for young children.  Includes day header cards, number date cards and weather cards. Grommets provide a sturdy way to hang it in your schoolroom! Made of nylon, size 25" x 13".   Really fun!
