Life of Fred Elementary books Kidneys, Liver & Mineshaft are intermediate books. They come after the elementary book #10 Jelly Beans and before Fractions. They are optional. If a student has finished the 10 elementary books, they have all the information necessary to proceed to Fractions. These are intended for students who have completed the elementary books but are not yet ready or old enough (fifth grade) for Fractions.
